Awesome, they did a fine job on this train. As always with Plarail the packing inside the box is very well done.
A big bonus, to me, is they opted to go with a matte black finish as no fingerprints show which is the bane of most gloss and semi gloss black paints. I am curious as to why the middle, Cat Car, has a hook on both ends as couplings. Wonder what the thought process was for that or is there a specific reason? The motor chassis is the last edition new and not the most recent new version. Does have 2 speeds which is cool. The cat sounds are intermittent meaning there is a gap between sayings so it doesn't become too irritating. The two Cat figures are made of a softer plastic maybe even rubber. I can see these figures becoming more valuable in the future as they are exclusive and could be easily lost or misplaced. The other items in the set are basic tracks and Station platform. You do have to apply the Station stickers though.
My only little complaint is, They did such a beautiful job on the painted gray windows and yellow cat eyes why did they have to use stickers on the sides of the Cat Car? If they start to curl on the edges revealing the white edges it would stand out so much on the black train.
Of course, you know me, the first thing I had to do was swap out the white couplings with black (last pic). Those white ones don't look right in my eyes and wonder why they didn't use black ones in the first place.
She is a beauty... What do you all think?
