Some questions answered in this new video of the just released S-34 Transport Train but not the main one.
Auto Carrier is not metal - Plastic (good)
EF65 Engine does have a flip up front hook.
Looks to track pretty well around the curves for something so long.
Main question but its obvious that since a EF65 has only about a quarter inch clearance under a standard riser that a loaded car carrier will not fit.
Not thrilled with:
what the articulated trucks look like as they are axle-less and don't look easy to take apart, if at all, to replace couplings. I am anxious to get mine to look closer.
the included cars which look like a waste and not an up grade from originals. Since the EF65 has a place for a Plakid I would have rather had them include a unique engineer than these plastic, hollow cars which I am sure will be easily lost by the children,
On a separate note...I have always wondered why the Plarail EF engines had the screw on battery covers on the chassis.
