Note the additional £8 fee that the post office charge for collecting the tax, which is 20% on most goods, and also charged on any shipping, insurance, sneaky courier extras, etc. I thought the threshold was £18, certainly was once-upon-a-time, but now I see it's only £15, unless you can satisfy the criteria that make it qualify as a 'gift', in which case £39. Then an additional 2.5% customs duty kicks in over £135 (gifts £630 in one document but not the other!).
