Good question and because you have the Flip Face Toby its not like you can easily just swap out the shells. I think a lot of us have created such a problem before of thinking we did such a great initial cleaning that we could even make it better. There might not be the perfect answer but personal preference. Personally I use Acrylic paint applied with an Air Brush which seems to go on lightly and evenly and adheres very well plus you can mix colors to achieve exactly the color shade you want. I find that brushing is always disappointing since it goes on too thick, shows brush strokes and doesn't adhere well. Spray cans (rattle cans) seem to go on too thick also. No matter what type of paint you use or method for applying the most important step is surface prep and the use of premium masking tape or masking liquid and protecting the finish with a clear coat after..
