Yes you are correct Super..all of the other standard model D10's from Tomy, Hit, and FP have the C cell type drive units. The weird thing is that the RC model and the knockoff are pretty much identical on the outside, with the exact same bottom, but when you open them up, the RC takes 2 AAA, the knockoff takes a single AA.. The Standard FP is on the left, the knockoff is in the middle, and the RC is on the right in the pictures.
