Oh, and I am expecting my lights I ordered to be delivered in an hour or so. If I like them I will immediately order some more.
USB is nominally 5v, up to 500mah if it is made to the ideal specification, so typically you can expect it to vary by about +/- .5v I reckon. On most PC's or whatever the biggest limitation is normally the current as some PC's for example can't provide 500mah, this can exhibit itself as say 3.5" hd's not powering up - this is why some come with Y cables so you can plug into two USB sockets to get more current
The exception is probably the USB powerbanks (made to charge phones on the move etc...) as some of those can provide 2amps or more to allow for phone rapid charging. What I was thinking of was seeing if I could get hold of a small re-chargable powerbank, I know you can get them in various sizes and I wouldn't need one with 10,000mah capacity or anything
Let me know what the lights are like, they should be the same as the ones I already got, but for some reason mine only shipped yesterday?!? Typical the first thing I ordered and the last thing to ship lol!!
I too am likely to order more if they turn out to be the same as I already have...
Happily collecting things all my life...
