Sadly these days lovely detailed items like this don't come along so often, these days the kids just want quick fixes, so if it bleeps a bit and flashes an LED somewhere they are generally happy for 5 minutes before they go back to their iPad or whatever.
Unfortunately kids don't generally appreciate things like this anymore as they don't get the asthetics or the detail to attention our generation did/does. Of course if Tomy were to wake up to the fact that the real fans of their lines were adults then maybe we'd have this sort of thing again.
But for now if you want high detail and realism you need to go to HO or N gauge railway systems it seems
