Now that statement I readily identify with, I really do need to sort and thin a bit, but the more I say I need to do it the less it seems to happen lol!!
And it always seems I find a new goodie before I get round to clearing some of the oldies. Latest one I got a bunch of recently were some 'mini plarail' (they are labelled as plarail as well, same box colours too) but sold under the Taito label. There is of course the possibility they are another part of the Tomy empire I suppose.
Anyway these Taito models are about the same gauge as the capsule plarail or advance trains and indeed the blue track that comes with them is identical to plarail capsule track which again hints they are Tomy in origin despite the label. But the nice thing is they are more accurate length, so not short and stubby like the capsule models, but not quite as long as the advance, somewhere in between but they look 'right'. The other nice thing is you also get powered motor cars as well unlike the clockwork plarail capsule They run on those batteries that are like half size AAA's...
Happily collecting things all my life...
