I can't stress this enough...Especially for the youngsters that visit us here...You should NEVER...NEVER use a Hobby knife, utility knife, razor knife, pocket knife or any knife to try and cut through these hard plastic models. Not only does it make for messy cuts there is a chance of serious injury including the possibility of a trip to the hospital or worse. Better to use much safer methods like using a Hobby Saw (pic 1) Hobby Files (pic 2) Any of the many Rotary Tool bits available (pic 3) or my favorite bit for a Rotary Tool, the replaceable cut off wheel that makes smooth and straight cuts in plastic (pic 4). Please be safe and use the proper tools. Your model will look better and you will be proud of what you have created.
