Flip Face/Party flag Thomas check

What I find strange is that any of the Thomases that I have had apart, the smoke box was black plastic whereas this one looks to be blue plastic painted black but of course the ones I messed with weren't flip face so I am guessing the smoke box is all one molded piece with the shell.
