the waimarie was successfully refloated yesterday afternoon, after almost 2 months high and dry.
the refloat took about 10mins, after which she was faced towards town by the coast guard, but did two sail-bys of the slip area, exchanging celebratory toots with the traction engines.
some of the photos are an odd shape as they were stills lifted out of videos i took. be nice if my camera could do both at once like some phones can, but never mind. could be worse!
prep being done. i got there almost 2 hours early in order to get a spot.

under her own power, the steam coming from one of her toots. she went up under the bridge, turned and came back down to the dock furthur down river.

the traction engines replying. the same two as were used to pull her out, so didnt worry about getting too many photos of them

turning to the dock, underneath the war memorial tower. the quality is a bit off as i had to zoom way up to get it.
