I would stay clear of your oils if you can because they attract all sorts of dust, hair, lint and all. If you can see if you can find a spray can of a dry silicone or dry slide that will lubricate without gathering the dust. One can would last a lifetime. If you have no other alternative than oil then use as little as possible on the axle where it meets the wheels and wipe away any excess. It would help if you could remove the wheels so as not to get oil in other places.
