Yes I'm a looking at it on my computer, with our bnib Alfie in front of me as I type...
Whatever happened to The Alfie inside, it is horribly defective...I am guessing the automated paint jet responsible for painting the black circular cab window and smokestack detailing on Alfie's face side malfunctioned and blasted an overspray over the entire middle side along with much of his face...
This might be why no more detailing of any other standard colors were applied after the black went wrong?
It's hub caps should have been painted off white w/ a green dot in the center, and the grey square compartment between the wheels is also unpainted...However, the #12 decal IS distinctly different from Alfie model that was released, so it may have been a prototype, but if it is, it is a very defective one and ruined as far as I am concerned.
As for the packaging goes, the hard shell plastic is the correct mold shape that is meant to contain Alfie, but I am at a loss to explain how a defective prototype or just a jacked up regular Alfie could have been so unfortunate to get blasted with black paint AND end up mispackaged with Elizabeth's paper stock as well???
Either way, 6 in one half & a dozen in the other!!!
It is a total mess and I really can't merit the value it seeks...not even close.
Also the last real used one out of package sold on eBay (I didn't buy it) for $425 quite some time ago...if this were a standand released BNIB Alfie, $600 would be a steal!
Personally I don't think I'd trade ours even for Pee Wee Herman's bike!!!
