I think so too and it is dead easy to do, all you need is some semi-flexible clear plastic such as many things use as 'blister' packaging and a bit of glue. I'd always intended to do this to some plarail models, in fact I did do exactly this to a Thomas Annie or Claribel (can't remember which) as well as some detailing. I always intended to post pics, but was waiting until I'd completed the other one, but like a lot of my projects it was put on hold for something else and I've not re-visited it yet
