Funny you mention that searching finds Takara stuff because I've never seen them when searching for Plarail. Maybe I'm using the wrong key words.
I just thought it would be better to refrain from using them because it may cause confusion for people new to the toys.
The current company is called "Takara Tomy" which sells "Plarail". Using the term "Takara Plarail" could refer to the real Plarail or the old Pocketrain.
The problem is similar to the Trackmaster and Trackmaster Revolution problem. Lots of people think it is just Trackmaster and then get very confused at why there are different companies, different tracks and incompatiblbe sets and toys.
