I just so happened to discover their page (finally), and seeing this reminded me of your post. A Google translation tells me they used putty for filling gaps and creating shapes. Some of their custom creations are unbelievable, such as Jock and the motorized version of Harvey. I'm glad they decided to show some of the models used during construction.

I can't recall how most of the user's models looked, but I didn't quite much care for Harvey. He's too tall and has too many gaps between things, but that's just my opinion. D261 and Logan I remember being absolutely amazing.

Anyways, what is putty exactly??? I only know silly putty..
