My junkyard, are there any interesting trains here?

D261 and D199 don't have a perfect basis in Plarail nor TrackMaster, but all of the Diesel 10 repaints look pretty good. I saw a few tweets recently from a Japanese user who uses some kinda sponge looking material to add more to an engine. Like, for his/her custom D261, he/she had to take off the claw, an there were unrealistic gaps in the roof, so it was filled in with the sponge-stuff, and repainted to blend right in.

Is this what you meant back when you were writing this?



I just so happened to discover their page (finally), and seeing this reminded me of your post. A Google translation tells me they used putty for filling gaps and creating shapes. Some of their custom creations are unbelievable, such as Jock and the self contained Harvey. I'm glad they decided to show some of the models used during construction.
