How To Replace a Split/Stripped Axle Gear

Just received this little helper from Ebay, $8.99 & Free Shipping. What attracted me to this one that it was advertised with a 1 1/2" jaw opening whereas the others I had seen advertised as 1" opening. This bigger opening accompanies the wheel axle and the spacers needed to press the gear on all the way to its proper position. This is made of pot metal and I love the hard plastic rollers used for tubing and possibly can be used to bend tubing. Not the most precision of vises but for the price and for what I will use it for I think it will do. Think I will make a couple of removable jaw covers using Styrene plastic for delicate parts.
