Wow. Thanks so much Muddy. I am re-typing this as I had a whole page of text and clicked the hyper link button and my browser closed (iPad), so all of what I had typed is gone. 
Anyway... It is true these trains for me are amazing. The complexity and design seem to send them over the top. I love the challenge of fixing these. So far I have all of them except the "American Accent" James and have repaired various types of issues, from corroded battery terminals, to broken wires, to just general, "it doesn't work" issues.
Right now I have probably 30 or more TnA engines that are in various stages of repair. Some are ready to go and will be listed soon, some need some TLC, and well some are too far gone and will be for parts.
If anyone has any questions or needs help with anything, please let me know and I will do my best to help out. I welcome the challenge to fix/repair these or maybe purchase for parts.
The one thing I am in need of is the custom battery terminals that apparently are only in the TNA and a few others like the real steal Thomas, etc... Here is a link to where I have found them, but cannot seem to get them ordered. They apparently were made for a customer and cannot be sold to me is what I am getting from my communications with them. I will keep trying through..
