How To Replace a Split/Stripped Axle Gear

If they are like the 5mm ones I have don't throw them out as I have found they still work in some trains as long as they are placed on the axle in the right position. And there are a few trains that use these bit larger gears but I can't remember which manufacturer I found those to be on. I have found that in the "Junk" bulk purchases that I have bought, in most cases the reason a train is declared junk is that the axle cog is split from children hold the train still while it is in the on position, otherwise those train are in fine condition.
