Real Steam and R/C Eye Servos?

I remember someone did a custom edward with moving eyes from a wind up Thomas (you wind up the funnel and the eyes would move back and forth). As for steam I have been thinking of the possibility of a seuthe smoke unit but the voltage to run them is rather high (4.5v minimum and up to 12v on some units)
