The track bed is covered in roof felt for protection from the rain and looks good. The awnings are made to fold flat against the fence and give an unobstructed view of the railway but they are troublesome. I plan to replace them with a fixed perspex roof.
We have dogs, it was important to make sure they weren't tempted to climb up. Lighting in the trains and buildings will be installed in time.
