Very nice indeed Super, in fact it shares quite a few features with one I got the other day the "S-48 - Kintetsu Sightseeing Express Shimakaze"
Like your one that had a plakid in the rear coach and although the middle and rear coach have some 'windows' which are simply holes like a lot of the plarail the rear coach has some lovely plastic (glazed) windows for the 'sightseeing' aspect I presume as does the engine car. As you quite rightly say both are good candidates for lighting.
With mine when I get round to it I intend to 'glaze' (i.e. fit perspex) to the windows that lack it and I'm toying with the idea of prototyping a standalone lighting 'block' that could be fitted to the floor or ceiling of any car. It's something I was messing with when building some custom lego models but I never got round to coming up with a self contained module. But I think now is the time to push it up the 'job list'
Regardless I hope you realise I have now added the S44 to my 'to be purchased list' and yes I have loads of lists for all sorts of things lol!
