Well thanks to the help here I managed to get hold of some replacement couplings to fix the loco and carriage that had a problem, so that's all good.
However while doing this and generally going through the rolling stock I found one truck which isn't Tomy, has different couplings which are much simpler - just pin and socket type - but otherwise is quite an attractive wagon as it has a molded face rather than a sticker and an integral load.
I was just curious if anyone can identify it? Please see the pics below;
Size-wise it is on a par with a normal Tomy thomas truck, just a little smaller but not enough to make it unusable. However the couplings would make it a little difficult to use with the standard Tomy/Trackmaster stock I think, but apart from being a decorative piece I can see potential for example in transplanting the face/load onto other rolling stock - sounds like I'm thinking of modding already lol!
