Day Out With Thomas

Super describes right, it depends on where it's held. Here it's been at an amusement park and at the state transportation museum. Each was different, especially the weather, one was unexpectedly cold, and the other brutally hot and humid. It is fun and interesting to see a big old Thomas. Little children have a blast, didn't see any crying. We have mobility issues, that wasn't a problem to ride the train as it was accommodated. Planning ahead, if hot or cold bring hats, or coats, bottled water in a backpack, snacks, money to buy a tee shirt for little ones, ice cream, etc. Plan to walk a lot, we did at both places. Would I go again, yes. Great family fun. Don't forget a camera. The lines can be long, but move quick. There are way more people there than you would expect. After or before the train ride there should be plenty of activities to enjoy that are included with admission or are free, some might be extra cost. We enjoyed face painting, Thomas legos, rides, playgrounds, maybe other trains to look at or ride, a band, hotdogs from the local ladies groups who volunteer their time to raise money for their causes.
