Definitely going to pick at least one up when I'm in Japan in October. Currently I have the E926 East I which while it's technically not considered a "Doctor Yellow" train it serves the same purpose.

so which train replaces dr yellow?

The JR Central operated T4 set was retired yesterday. The JR West operated T5 set will be kept running and shared until 2027, after which regular passenger-carrying N700S trains fitted with testing apparatus will check the Shinkansen tracks and OHLE.
