ooh a very interesting thread this. I’ve created a few engine shells for Trackmaster and the old Tomy Train line which can be found here https://www.thingiverse.com/drmopp1966/designs

Hey, thanks for the link to your designs, there's some interesting models there. I especially like the look of the class 08 Diesel shell, what chassis is this (and the others) designed to fit onto? Are they specific Tomy chassis or the generic new (some might say crappy) FP chassis?

Any other new ones coming? On a sort of related note, have you seen any models posted for Scalextric on Thingiverse? I've not been on there for ages due to lack of time to search it, but I may be interested if there are any...

There aren’t any new models coming at the moment, as I’m focusing on other projects. The 08 and the bagnall are designed for the standard 0-4-0 Tomy Train chassis (I’ve included an image of it on the pages for both of them). They’re a bit out of scale next to the regular Tomy Train engines but should look just fine next to the (also quite large) Thomas engines. I’ve not seen anything related to Scalextric, Scalextric isn’t really a thing I’ve ever looked into before

Some nice looking designs here. Have you actually printed any of them?

Unfortunately no, I've not actually got a 3d printer.
(If anyone does plan to print them I would take into mind that even though I'm pretty sure they should all work fine, none of them have actually been test printed)
Posting this Because I think a few might want a challenge: https://www.tinkercad.com/things/4Z9vDRq...-for-short

Also Percy's files will be done in early January or prior!

(P.S) ahh Yes, to anyone that has a Chassis ready for Thomas here's a Test Print file

If I was able I would test print them for you, however I've currently got a couple of young kittens/cats and as we all know 'Curiosity Killed the Cat', they already show far too much interest in my printers even though its turned off.  If I start printing something at this time I can imagine I'll end up with some nastily injured little kitties.  Once they have grown up a bit and settled down I'll have a go, but for now production is halted lol!
