Sunfaded models

So, is it possible to restore the shade of blue, from a Gordon or Edward for example, with a hydrogen peroxide solution, or something similar? IK those deyelllowing solutions work for white plastic like the faces but YouTube hasn't given me a concrete answer so far as to how I could restore the color of anything else.

TandH was able to fit the shell of a 2009 Gordon on a TOMY chassis, so it can be done. In addition to "restoring" the paint, the plastic itself would be stronger since a faded one eventually becomes brittle; even if you repaint it. Hydrogen peroxide (ironically) also requires sunlight to work, meaning it will actually speed up the cracking/breaking process.

For the triangle screws, a small flat screwdriver/hex key should be able to move them if it fits.

That's really nice to hear! 🙂 The only thing one would lose from using a Mattel shell would be cab stickers, which can be replaced by custom ones, and the unpainted whistle, which if I was in a position, would paint/marker in gold before placing it on the chasis. I guess I would paint the tenders whole, and add stickers for the numbers, unless I'd want to go through the process of resoldering them.
