Today's gets.



While I know many people on BPT are hardcore Thomas fans, I'm more into the Japanese trains.  But I did grow up watching it and I had a few....so many I put on my wishlist but with prices going up and the dollar/yen ratio low, I figured might as well take advantage of the discount.  A shame though ala hindsight that I could have gotten it cheaper before.  But the other trains were more of a priority.  Sadly, there were ones I wanted that are no longer available and if they are, you're going to have to pay a little more than double for them.

And I also finally dived in and got the Plarail Real Class but again, should have gotten it when it was down to 4400 yen.  I was waiting for it to go to under Y4000 but it went back up to Y5200, so I figured I better get it now before Amazon JP or Takara Tomy does another price increase.

Is that the 60th Anniversary Plarail Book on the right or a different year?

Yep, you are correct.  60th Anniversary.   I have had this book for awhile now and I can easily say that it's the best Plarail book to get.  

There are many Plarail books out there but a lot of them are under a 100 or under 50 pages.  I think it's the only Plarail dedicated book with the most pages and offers you insight for all plarail released (trains, sets, rails) from its 60 years.  But it's primarily picture based.  Text is only the name of the train, sets...  No essays or anything lengthy to read.  It's more of reference.

This one has 224 pages and costs around $18 USD.
