Extendable Track Piece...Brilliant! 👍

Here is a brilliant idea come to life 3D printed...extendable track piece. Ever have a complicated Layout where you just quite get your track pieces to line up? I have, here is a great idea realized in 3D print. What do you all think?

Superb idea, we all have this issue sometimes regardless of the rail type whether it is PlaRail, HO/OO, N or TT scales. Of course with the latter there are other options, but definitely a good idea from this guy. Now the big question is can you get the print file so you can print them?

I suspect that since they are selling these and other track pieces on Amazon that the files wouldn't be available. Would also be nice if they offered then in your choice of colors to match what one has.

For curves couldn't you use flexi-track to achieve any angle desired?

Thats an interesting idea Leyland.

Of course you can use the Flexi-Track anywhere and in any length to fill in troubled spots but I'm definitely not in favor of the look. On my Layouts now I custom modify tracks to fit any variation that I need and they turn out great as they blend in perfectly and can hardly be seen. This proved to be perfect for the Gray Elevated rails as they don't come in shorter sizes.
