Because I could see if Trackmaster ACTUALLY wanted faster locomotives, they would've put a upgraded motor in all the Trackmaster trains like the tomy thomas and the jet engine set.

Well, on that note, some engines should have the two speed notch control switch on their roof, like the Plarail Chuggington Hanzo has; a few engines from the Thomas & Friends range that I feel should have those would be Connor, Caitlin, Gordon, and Spencer. In addition to that, the Plarail HD300 has a slower motor, but higher hauling speed; Thomas & Friends engines like Diesel, Henry, James, and Stanley might be contenders for that but, and this is a very long stretch, if Plarail manufactures Gator, Timothy, and Marion, those three should have a motor like the HD300.

I never knew HD300 was slower, but better at hauling. I don't have many of the real plarail trains(not thomas) also duck is my best hauling engine as he can haul all of my rolling stock (slowly, but surely) on wooden track.

Some of my other engines (The two Hyper Guardian engines) can haul a train up to 21 cars in length, but I've never dared to increase the length due to lack of space and inability to keep the cars from lifting off the track. My HD300 has easily hauled 20 Troublesome Trucks without hesitation, and Oliver has been known to be quite a strong Great Western tank engine-- he currently holds the record of all of 12 of my Thomas & Friends Express coaches being hauled at regular speed, with Toad at the very end!

Oliver is making gordon have a little competition.

So this new range, Crash and Repair is coming out, but oh my goodness they look like they've gained weight. It's an okay idea, but I think they look strange. It looks like that there are going to be new ways of releasing engines. Besides Thomas' exception, none of the other engines have been re-released for the Revolution range yet, so maybe the Greatest Moments engines are going to stay Greatest Moments.

Thanks Jdog for the heads up and the links.

Looks like this particular line will have exploded parts that may be easily broken off or removed by little children's hands. Also, upon further inspection it looks like the drive wheels are one piece with the traction tire molded right into the hard plastic wheel or they have color coded the traction tires. Color matching the tires would add to production costs so my guess is that they are molded in the hard plastic which might make them even harder to run on the Tomy tracks. Of course all this speculation means nothing if its just an ad rendering that makes them look like that. Will be interesting to see. And, I agree Jdog, they are even fatter with the exploding parts than the previously released one chassis fits all ones.
They have gained weight and been disoreented, I guess I'll be sticking to wooden railway special edition trains at the shops now. I might buy diesel ten, just to see one up close and do a review on him. This new one size fits all chassis is going downhill rapidly for a children's toy brand.

The three Crash and Repair engines are on eBay from our usual seller: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Fisher-Price-Tra...2a4a8e7eb3

I thought people might be interested in the packaging. It sticks with how I assumed Fisher-Price was going to be marketing Thomas TrackMaster now as this epic thing and this looks like a screaming guy voiceover would try and sell them to me. Tongue

I think they wont be heavier. they look fatter but to me tht means "hollow" & therefore still light in weight
to climb the stupid hills they need lightness
