And East Eye's middle car mold was renewed shortly after so this means that the middle car has no cover and gimmicks. So it is manufactured for a very short time with a short production volume. It turns out that the gimmick middle car type was a set exclusive, never single item release.
Is it possible that the East Eye Clear Middle Car Cover did not come with any packaging and was instead just given out loose (since it is only a cover)?
plarail for life
No, every Plarail during that time has a JAN code and ST mark. This JAN code need to be stamped/printed on every registered Plarail product. There should be a card containing the product name, JAN code and the ST mark like how older Plarail packages were distributed. The card is also considered part of the packaging.
There was a Clear cover for the middle gimmick car?
Yes there is, but the packaging is the highlight and it is too rare.
I have had a couple of the East Eye gimmick Middle cars and both had the regular White with red stripe color to match the front and rear engines. I sold them both off because I thought the gimmick was useless since you could not see it work as the train was running unless you ran it without its shell.
Thats where the clear cover comes in handy, but the problem is that you need to buy the set at a Japanese Toys R Us during the event period.
This ^
I saw the cover before, it was quite a shock that the cover was not included in the set, but was a additional item given out. It is very tricky to get the packaging today, the card is small and I don't think children would salvage the card.
