Motorized Bridge Lift Thomas and Skiff REVIEW!

So,
Today I went to Target and I found that new motorized set with Skiff so I ended up buying it with a few other things. I figured I should make a review of it here.

The two characters in this set are Thomas (with seagulls all over him) and the main attraction being Skiff.

Skiff is very nice, being a rerelease of the already existing TM2 Skiff but improved with a back coupling, Thomas is also included but as funny as the Thomas with seagulls all over him is, I feel Ryan should be in this set instead. Ryan works with Skiff in the show and would be more fitting than Thomas, plus is an already existing item who really needs a rerelease.

Once everything is built after an easy assembly, you have a pretty cool looking figure 8 track. There are two stickers included, one for the billboard which I did put on, and another being the Thomas logo for the bridge which I DID NOT put on as I think putting the Thomas logo on everything is very obnoxious.

The entire point of the set is that you raise the bridge when Skiff goes under since he cant fit with the bridge down, but lower it back just in time for them to get back across. I would figure you already know that but just in case. This set has excellent detailing with the bridge, the billboard, and the little dock witch really sets the scene. The billboard is detailed with Brendam Docks signage, Harwick signage would probably make more sense but I guess it can be an advertisement for the docks. The bridge lift is a bit stiff at first but the more you use it the better it gets. If you want a continuous run without having to raise and lower the bridge than Skiff is out of the question entirely. Very good layout though with the awesome bridge that is good for just running normal trains as well.

FINAL VERDICT:
This set is pretty good. I had a lot of fun with it and I'm sure kids would to. It does have its flaws but those dont effect the set too bad. This set isn't a must have but if you see it you should at least consider picking it up. I more recommend it to people already into the TM2/Motorized system but that doesn't mean beginners can't pick this set up. Thanks for reading about my ramblings on a children's train set. If I do anymore reviews I will probably make a thread to put all my reviews into instead of making them all separate posts. Hope you enjoyed!

A very nice overlook!
this set is simple and I'm sure that a lot of people will agree that its a lot better than those flying treasure ship landing sets lol. Congratulations on picking that up. Still can't find it in any stores where i live unfortunately...

Mattel distribution is really bad when it comes to Motorized. They skipped an entire wave of Push-Alongs over here, meaning no Sonny for me  Undecided
ALSO, glad you like the review! Will probably do more in the future.

Excellent Review Tyler. I do like the idea of a Drawbridge like this. Does it operate with a crank?
Thanks Super! I should do more reviews like this in the future.

Its not a crank, its just a lever you push down.
