Brilliant...was it an easy swap or did you have to modify them Muddy?
The shells are identical in every way, so it’s just a straight swap.
The only subtle difference is that the ringing Tekoro versions have a single traction tire, but the clear versions do not, so the donors really get the short end of the deal.

It needs some filing to work as smoothly as the originals. I have mixed parts between the 3D printed one and an original but it was a little rougher, my dimensions are not perfectly matched I don't think. It's still about as fragile as the original ones are too. I was actually also thinking of doing the battery covers, although they may be better suited to molding instead of 3D printing.
I have a website where I have been writing about and photographing many of the sets and pieces that I find interesting.

My Wife is currently working on a gordon/james lid, I have also found a good starting point for the henry lid here hopefully it will give you a head start. we don't need this one currently but i can imagine every little helps when creating. dimensions are not too far off, slightly too long and slightly too narrow though and it has nothing to hold it in place. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3222179
I've been working on a little project after seeing the idea of a Talk n Action Scruffy and Toad on this 2001 Japanese fan poll of wanted characters
I 3D modelled and printed a modified truck and Toad brakevan and fitted the chassis with the battery compartment and Talk n Action switch in them. I finally got a little microcontroller reading the Talk n Action track bumps correctly, and once I get Toad set up correctly with a power switch, print a new bracket for the speaker and electronics inside Scruffy, and find a better speaker (the current one is from a Talk n Action and the audio blows it out) it should work better then I expected. The audio is mostly unintelligible, but it'll play lines from Toad Stands By eventually https://youtu.be/UHh3Rbjtz3E Maybe I'll give a Talk n Action Edward or Diesel a try some time, but I don't know if everything would fit inside Edward, my boards are a lot bigger then the original signal board Talk n Action one
