I just got these Keihan 10000 Series Thomas & Percy, and it crossed my mind that I could run them with real Thomas & Percy. Recently found an old Sir Topham Hatt figurine, Dokidoki Mountain and the triple loop were just perfect for a short trailer! Smile

KEIHAN 10000 SERIES THOMAS & PERCY WRAPPING TRAINS

The Keihan 10000 series (京阪10000, Keihan 10000-kei) is an electric multiple unit (EMU) commuter train type operated by the private railway operator Keihan Electric Railway in Kyoto, Japan, since 2002, manufactured by Kawasaki Heavy Industries. Since 2007, the 10000 series sets are primarily used on Keihan Katano Line driver-only operation services.

The train itself is actually a normal passenger train that goes along the line so regular passengers, not only fans of Thomas, would ride it as well. What makes it special is that the train is heavily decorated with Thomas & Friends characters inside and out! You could also hear voices of the characters played as announcement inside the train. Many Keihan trains are decorated with Thomas & Friends characters. After Thomas wrapping train appeared, Keihan Railways actually asked their passengers wich character they want to see on the next wrapping train, and they voted for Percy!

In Takara Tomy Plarail range there are many Keihan wrapping trains. These Keihan 10000 Thomas & Percy are completely wrapped trains, but the wrapping is really nice. Stable driving is enabled with the older type one speed Tomy motor.

The video is this time in two parts:

Just a few remarks for my regular viewers:

This time I didn't forget my slippers next to the railway line, as I often do.

No animals have been harmed or died while making this video, although it seems one penguin suffered a heart attack at 4:25 of the first video.

And yes, Super, Percy is hauling a tank car full of real butter for the popcorn! Smile

I had a plan to make quite another video today, but Super got me an idea...

In my video of Keihan 10000 Thomas Wrapping Train, one penguin (the fat one) fainted at 4:25. Public has the right to know what happened to him! Smile

This video will clarify the mystery...

It should also be noted that after this penguin was saved, he went on to have an illustrious career in movies where he wrote, produced, directed and appeared in the Disney Movies 'Happy Feet' and 'Happy Feet 2'. Three cheers for our first responders.
