We were a few weeks late, and Mercari has a solid reputation of selling quick because there is no crowd control like auction style. First come first serve basis.
There are always sleepless people staring at the Mercari screen 24 hours straight, so you can expect the best items to sell instantly if they get published.
The problem of Mercari is that the account ban system is not as good as Yahoo, so expect bot accounts to instantly buy items and keep it reserved for weeks until the seller realised that something fishy is going on.

Phantom Gem 57: トミーフェリーボート Ferry Boat (Japanese Version)

There is a US, EU, and JP version. But the JP version is out of sight for the longest time. The box tends to be found faded, getting a pristine like box is extremely difficult. A set from the 1980s. Production end date seems unknown as it does not have the Plarail logo so the set is not in the catalogues. Clear images are hardly ever found online, but there are some in blogs. The switch of this bus is below the chassis, and the boat is powered by the friction drive, where the bus enters in the boat and docks the next platform. Although this set is not a Plarail, it has the metal motor box of the older Plarails. The bus will run on normal blue tracks. As the switch beside the towers is toggled, the bus stops at the tower and the tower rotates a full round before disengaging the bus.

They are fine treasures indeed, there are 2 on eBay the last time I checked. Will consider it, but might wait a little longer to recover the funds spent on that C62.

Though it is able to run on Tomy track, it is particularly finicky...rails must be perfect, and even so, it has a habit of hanging up on stop pieces because of the design of the activation tab underneath.
It is very similar the underside design of the TrackMaster Revolution line, which without modifications won’t run on Tomy track at all.

Thanks Muddy, I never thought to give mine a run on Blue Tracks.

One thing I wish there were (maybe there are) is extra wavy track and possibly a curve or two. Wonder if there are the same type track with similar connection from different type road or rails sets even if they weren't wavy?

Shouldn't be, Mercari is only in Japan.
Existing Phantom Gem Update 21:アクションプラレール Action Plarail

It is existing on section 21 http://www2u.biglobe.ne.jp/~akeda/DOLL/f...orosi1.htm
This is the clearest image of the full layout we took in our laboratory, it came from the old phantom gem toy warehouse that was mentioned about a month ago. (The amount of red is too high, and it is glaring for the camera. So we can't capture the grooves on the rails. So sorry about this!). Set is 100% complete, nearly unused condition but no box due to extreme deterioration.

What is this set? It is not a Plarail, but it is said to be the ancestor of all gimmick Plarail. When Plarail was still developing, all of them are designed as sister products. Made by TOMY, there is also a Spanish version called "LE TREN MINERO" from GEYPER (Spanish TOMY). It is known as SHUTTLE TRAIN by foreigners.
