So they Talk when crossing the bridge and/or at other places on the rails where it is triggered?
It appears they have RFID like the early wood and recognitze other engines and greet each other .

By "Early Wood", he actually refers to Learning Curve's short lived Talking Railway Series from 2008-10 (not to be confused with the books, but that was what they called it). The destinations had the Fat Controller identify certain engines (the few that were adapted for the system) and talk to them, but the engines were mute. Here's the commercial:

Yes, they did work as advertised. Personally, the Chuggington Interactive Railway was more innovative.

Similar but this time its the Engines that do the talking rather than the scenery .

it also appears that the engine is able to detect whether Bulstrode is at his dock or not . If he is there the engine will stop if not he will carry on his journey .

That would be interesting Rekp. Wonder how that would work and if it could be stripped to do something else? Big Grin
Here is the set running at the New York Toy Fair. Not a very good explanation demo of the set as I could not hear them talking. It is interesting that she said that Thomas and Percy can recognize each other and stop to talk.
