A Few Take 'n' Plays...

Soooo...  I shouldn't browse eBay looking to fill holes in my collections like the mini's as otherwise I find things like a job lot of Take 'n' Play models which looked (for the most part) in good condition and at a stunning price so here we are as I thought I might as well...  Of course this is how new collection ranges start Angel ...  <just don't mention the other job lots on their way he says under his breath> Big Grin

Anyway here we go, as you'd expect there's a couple of Thomas's and Percy's the highlight for me is the sound&light Emily;

Marion looks very impressive.
I agree Leyland, in fact quite a few of these Take 'n' Play models are quite nice little things, some of the detail (and the fact they have diecast bodies) put the bigger trackmaster models to shame. I wonder why FP do that, make these nice and then totally balls up the Trackmaster range?!?

The look good, I have a soft spot for these diecast ranges but am scared of starting a proper collection haha I have too many collections of things as it is.

Very nice Nigels. Have you bought that barn yet to store all your collections yet? Big Grin

Ucwepn, you echo my thoughts exactly.  I don't intend starting a 'proper' collection of these, but I will be picking up the odd job lot or whatever when I find them at a price that is just too good to turn down Smile

I just need that storage facility that Super keeps on about so I can truly organise and enjoy what I've got (and want to get), I suspect I'll end up having to thin out some of my collections as it is getting a bit silly lol!

Out of interest which do you prefer? The 'Take and Play' ranges (new and old) or the ERTL models?!? I'm really not sure, both have their merits and drawbacks...

Wow, you different have a few different versions of Die Cast there from Learning Curve to Take n Play to Adventures.
They look so good. Love the die casts.
That's the nice thing about job lots, not only are they usually good value for money on a price per unit basis, but you often get a mixture of things that are from similar ranges or themes that work together Smile

Of course the downside here is the number of Thomas's and Percy's I've got already just from two batches lol!!

They made Butch's cab totally hollow. In Take Along, the models not only had windows that appeared to be glazed, but they even had interiors. Even black windows look better since they hide what would be inside.

I didn't remember Scruff being remade in the last three years of Take-N-Play's life span.
