I feel like resurecting this thread again, with a small question regarding 'The Great Race'.

In a shot involving the ferry, there is a fail where one of the engines is floating, and their wheels are absent. What is the name of the engine?

BONUS: Which country are they representing?

Since no-one else has responded. Axel & Belgium.

The real challenge is to find questions that can't easily be answered by reference to the ttte wiki

What was the popular nickname for the deep-red and cream colour scheme exemplified by these coaches?

Blood and Custard.
I'm impressed. 'Blood and Custard' is exactly right. The previous carmine and white livery was 'Plum and Spilt Milk'.
Kind of sounds gruesome for a childrens series. Confused
It's a real life British slang term. It has no relation to The Railway Series nor Thomas & Friends (which are already gruesome enough), but I've seen it mentioned enough times to remember it. For example, I recall it being used by British rail enthusiasts who build LEGO trains, and on the TTTE Wikia. It's so common that a website named after it has THREE registered domains. I never knew about "Plum and Spilt Milk" though.
