Giant warehouse of doom....

Well, it looks like the giant warehouse/ layout space Super and I were joking about the other day is going to be delayed indefinitely! Long story short, when I got to inspect the “new” house on Monday, I realized that it needs more work than the old (current) house. So, we aren’t moving there! Alas, no giant warehouse in the back yard! Blush

Bummer, I hope your search for another place results in something even more spectacular.

Wouldn't it be great to have a space like the one you pictured where half was converted into living space and the other half a huge garage, workshop, train Layout and play area?

Yeah, you win some, you lose some, I guess! It probably works out better for us anyway and honestly, I would like my next move to be somewhere far away from here.

The idea of living in a converted warehouse is strangely appealing to me. One idea I think is rather cool was used by a Japanese architect some years ago. His house was a large-ish free span open space with the bedrooms built as fully enclosed, wheeled modules. I guess the bathroom(s) and kitchen would be more permanently in place but other rooms could be reconfigured, added or subtracted as needed.

Great idea, then if there were a divorce you could actually divide the house up...literally. Big Grin

start digging a hole in the backyard. I always wanted a mancave but my wife said no.

You may have something to worry about if she says yes.......digging your own grave. Big Grin

Oh yeah, the secret underground lair! Or my grave....
The second option seems more likely! Big Grin
