Tomy Chirin Tekoro additions..

I had picked up the newer ringing Chirin and Tekoro but has been waiting to find the older first released ones. I found a lot cheap in the Japan auctions so grabbed them up. Also I picked up one of the Promo Thomas units. I ordered the Chocolate covered percent on eBay, just waiting on arrival.

cute little buggers. Has anyone paired these with a powered tender or coach to push them around? Wonder what the smallest, in size, of a powered tender or coach would look the best..Plarail Rocket or possibly Emily's or Hanks?

I forgot to update this thread but I received the Chocolate covered Percy.

But something else interesting after receiveing the new Lexi, Theo, and Silver Thomas, I realized there is a ringing and also more of a “not so ringing” sound to these.

Here are some pics to help. The first is Theo, where the two pieces of metal sort of snap together, where Lexi actually has a bell inside that the gear hits.





Also interesting on Lexi, possibly the others, it looks like the face could be easily removed:

Yes Harold and Bertie don't have bells inside either.. Harold kind of honky-squeaks, and Bertie makes kind of a cranking tink tink tink.

Have you tried using Harvey's powered wagon to push these round Mr R?

Nah, I was only doing this for fun, but have thought about using a powered coach in some other projects. Muddy had a video with the powered coaches/tenders pushing them which seemed to work ok i believe though.
