JR Kyushu Sweet Train Aru Ressha has Arrived

The JR Kyushu Sweet Train Aru Ressha has arrived from Hobby Search today. I was bummed as it was delayed from their usual speed because they were closed over the Holidays to Jan 3rd.

Very pretty train, the graphics are fantastic with nary a sticker or decal on the outside as far as I can see. The signs at the top/front and rear may be stickers but they are good ones if they are as I could not tell for sure even with a magnifying glass. There are 2 stickers on the inside of the coach, one with the servings of Sweets on the table and the window.

The new way to open the see inside coach has to be because of the complaints of other coaches that were difficult to open. I found that once you figure out the trick that those older see inside coaches were easier to open.

Now for a little bit of nit picking...

Why say PlaKid(s) (plural) in big letters on the front of the box when there is only one? Would have been nice to have two since there are 2 seats in the coach. Would that be that much to add that?

I would have liked to see more of a golden finish like the real train maybe even something like the Gold Thomas. They could have charged more and made this truly a collectors piece.

I am not too fond of the small wheels on the coach but they are black.....then why, Plarail, didn't you have black wheels on the engine??? The black goes great with the color scheme of the outside. The grey just looks odd and out of place. Looks like I will have to swap them for black like I already did with the couplings.

Whining over, on to the pictures....Sweet Smile

Dang, you beat me to it..lol. Mine has been in the same shipping delays it seems. It arrived in New York on 12/31, and has been there up until today. The post man left the notice on the door and did not knock or ring the doorbell so I have to go and pick it up tomorrow..Dodgy I had pre-ordered from an eBay seller at the end of Nov, and they had it shipped out on day of release which was awesome. Was hoping to have it sooner.

That all said..lol. I love it. Looks like a great luxury train. Big Grin

I hate it when I see that a package arrived at New York ISC because they always take longer than say Chicago and San Francisco. I wonder what the criteria is for which one packages enters the country at. Might have something to do with what part of Japan, Taiwan, China, Hong Kong the package originates from. Its seems like one seller I get packages from always goes through NYC while others through Chicago. I don't get as many coming through San Francisco anymore as I once did but they were fast like Chicago too.

I think we have been fooled...

Now take a look at my coach compared to the unveiling one at the Christmas Toy show, now, does that look the same to you guys?????

If I knew this wasn't going to be exactly like the one we saw in Suzukawa's video, I never would have ordered this.
