New house - New Layout, Ripley802's layout build!

I would love to take credit for the ice rink (mirror trick), but that was all the wife. I had an open area there and she said wait one min, and came back in with the mirror.. ah, genius.. haha... It does look pretty cool with all of the lights but may need some more..

That brought back great memories!!..My Grandma used to decorate the top of her piano just like that with a mirror and the snow in a little ice skating scene for Christmas every year!! Great job!!

and for some reason I am trying to win a 3rd..haha.

Thanks Super. Yes the layout was a pretty big hit this year, the family enjoyed it, both the building and running of it.

While it was fun to build and I like some aspects of it I am ready to go for a more (somewhat) realistic layout. I have a couple ideas spinning in my head for some bridges, maybe a mountain, and some water?? I will be leaving this layout up through Christmas of course but then it will be coming down.

Can't wait to see what ideas you come up with. In the mean time, I hope you don't mind, I took the liberty of cutting tunnels in the wall to the outside and one through the wall into the next room so you could extend the Layout into new areas. I cleaned up my mess as best as possible but you may want to trim up my rough sawn edges.
