I like the idea of the drawers, would make a nice finished touch. Please NO IKEA...LOL.. that place always seems to take my money.. haha. I swear you go in for one thing and end up with a cart full of "necessities..."Big GrinDodgy

Ikea has good food especially fish and chips.

You should consider cutting a hole on the ply wood so you can create some sort pf underground quarry.

I wish my wife is like yours. Whenever we have a guest coming to pur house, i have to rip my whole layout

@Super
I went with your idea.. was out and went to Hobby Lobby. I came home with this. 50" x 100" grass sheet..Cool

It may not cover all areas, by I can either get some more or come up with another covering.

Is that the dark green one? I was just looking at that 50x100 roll Online to be prepared for when I do an elevated Layout. I believe that same Manufacturer sells smaller rolls of the same thing. Let us know what you think of it? The Manufacturer is new to me and they make lots of stuff other than the Grass Mats but here is the Link to their Grass Mat page that I was researching the other day https://www.jttmicroscale.com/viewproduct.asp

Ripley, are you sticking the Hurricane out at home?

Yeah, I saw some of the smaller rolls as well. I did like the woodland scenics one they had but it was around $15 more. It was a lighter color green.

Hurricane? So far no rain even, but we are supposed to get some later tonight I believe.

There was apparently a Hurricane (Nate) that was going to send some rain/wind toward us. It came through late last night but was not too bad.

All trains are safe and sound. Big Grin

I am going to get some spray adhesive to get the grass to stick down probably tomorrow. I did not have enough for the whole layout but am planning on doing the right hand side in more of an urban/Japanese city style and am planning to use a grey or concrete base, not actual concrete but just the look of it. I mocked these up in sketch up which I am still learning but you get an idea of where I am going with it. The second level(s) will probably come later in the interest of time. But you can see a cutout that will likely be in the top and will have and up and down ramp/slope.

More to come...
