In honor of my new Granddaughter I have been amassing items for her first layout which will be on a table top separate from what will eventually be a large table top layout for our regular trains. The pictures below show what will be the centerpiece and theme of an all Disney layout just for her.
Very nice, but be honest Super, the Grand Daughter is just an excuse so you could get it for yourself
You going to get some of Mr Ripley's "My Little Ponys" as passengers for the trains?!?

I do have some more Disney trains, figures, stations and accessories coming. Only thing I have to watch out for is getting so much stuff that I would need a bigger table than I have plans for as this layout will be in the upstairs playroom not downstairs in the train room. One thing is for sure though, this Cinderella Castle is a collectors item and I hope its still around for her when she has kids even though I probably won't. The Castle also folds out and the rooms have furniture and lots of figures that make it even more collectable and fun to play with. But I mainly was attracted to its beautiful lighting for a layout.
that castle is gorgeous. how much and where from? i agree, ponies will end up on the layout eventually, even if she puts them there herself. what else have got stashed away?
did you know that lego is producing a cinderellas castle, to be released later this year? rumor has it the price is going to be $350-$400USD.

What is it that Super has against ponies on a layout? Just curious, if there is anything.
That LEGO castle better be huge with a price like that. It hopefully won't be just a tiny playset with a few minifigures and a pretty box.
The castle Super bought reminds me of a little castle I saw in a display case at the academy in which my brother's graduation ceremony was held. It wasn't big enough for an Ulfstead Castle filming set, but it'd look great on a layout; I can't remember too much but it was just a generic castle, with some fairly good details and made of plastic.
