Trackmaster road

Are there any pieces to connect Trackmaster and Plarail road? I'm asking because I'd really like to get myself an Elizabeth set, but I only recently found out that Trackmaster and Plarail road actually are different, just like the track..

I don't think there is such a thing. In fact I think Ucwepn created an adapter himself when he added a road surface in one of his videos. This may be a project for 3D printers. For some reason I thought he talked about his home made adapters but maybe he talked about them in the Forums. I am sure he will stop by and explain how he did it.

One doesn't exist. HiT Toy Company were never that big on the road range so it just wasn't bothered.

Unfortunately, there aren't. As Super said, you might have to get someone to 3D print them.

Personally, I feel the Tomy road system was better.

what I did was get a piece of each type and cut them in half, then glue the odd pieces together to make custom adapters. Not pretty but the height is very close and it works

Definitely sounds like a 3D printer job, but to be honest the older Tomy roads are easily available on eBay so why bother, just get the old stuff and use that its bound to be better quality.

I prefer to get my items new since I never know what they could have been through if used. Track I may not mind too much, but if I see something I want that's new for a cheap price, I'm gonna try to get it. I've seen a new-in-box Elizabeth before on Jauce, but the additional fees and shipping would probably be as much as a new-in-box Trackmaster set including her and an oval of road. I don't have any TOMY road right now anyway, so I think I'll just try to make it work. One thin that's worked with the track for me before is filing down the tabs of a Trackmaster track and using a bit of blutack to connect it to a female TOMY track.

personally, i like the trackmaster track. its nicely detailed. however, the old track is more common, and more versatile. also, there were two sets released [that i know] that used the road track in a different color: thomas and terence logging adventure, and the motorised jeremy airport. the first used brown track, while the second had the clear blue. they allow for some great designs.
one thing i have found is the connectors on the tomy road can get to be quite brittle, and ive actually snapped a few off when putting them together or taking them apart. the trackmaster road connectors are a lot thicker and easier to put together.

another thing to consider are the risers. i dont think trackmaster ever made a sloped road piece, so their track wouldnt be designed with the old white tomy risers in mind, which would limit your build somewhat. though looking at wepsn video, the yellow track risers work. how secure they are, im not sure. not something i ever thought of trying.

at the end of the day, buying used is fairly safe. they are kids toys, so for your own peace of mind, give them a quick soak in a sink of warm water and disinfectant, but its highly unlikely theyve been anywhere truly awful.
most of my collection is used, bought from various online auctions, local thrift shops and weekend markets etc. none of if has killed me yet, and none of its been washed either, except the stuff that has been scribbled on.

For engines, I pick out fluff and grime from the insides with a screwdriver or plastic toothpick, and for track I scrub them under water. Sometimes I'll use a lens cleaning wipe for things with no stickers. Does the latter disinfect things too? I wouldn't know.

EDIT: I'm aware there are no Trackmaster Road slopes, so I would only use it on the ground levels. Maybe I'd have to try Ucwepn's method, if he can offer some pictures or a video on just what he did. If not, I might just file down a few bits off of a TOMY and a HiT Toy and put some blutack underneath. It really does work well with the tracks that way.

As far as I know both road tracks have slopes.
