dang batcave sold out!

Sold out really quick but I'm hoping Amazon will offer it soon as they were first to offer the motorized track.

toot toot toys in australia has had and sold out of the spencer launcher. i went to order two, and by the time i had added the 7 packs to my cart, it was sold out.

on messaging them via facebook, they have ordered more and will keep them aside for me. they also confirmed the motorised trackset and dc wheel will be coming, but they havent said when. they are keeping one of each aside for me.

no batcave at this stage, and i didnt ask about the pop up playsets since they havent been sighted in the wild yet.

I found a couple neat poster checklist PDFs by accident (there is a valid URL, thomasandfriends.com/minischecklist , but if you google it you will see my page instead as the first or second result ).

There is a 2015 poster that has all the 2015 engines (except the DC Super Friends), the Advent Calendar, Warriors from the 50-pack, and Dirty Percy from the Twist-n-Turn Stunt Set.

Then there is the 2016 poster with all the 2016 engines, the Advent Calendar and Dirty Percy again, the Glow in the Dark and Insect (30-pack) engines, Thomas and James from the Motorized Raceway set, Platinum Thomas, and the 4 engines from the Launchers. The second page has all the DC Super Friends (looks like it has all the ones we know about, except it's missing Batman Diesel from the Comic-Con pack), including Clayface Bill from the Batcave Playset and Green Lantern Gator (who is also labelled as being in the Batcave Playset; probably a mistake as he's actually an exclusive to the DC Collector's Wheel) and all the SpongeBob engines.

Notably, the 2016 checklist is missing the Tootsie engines, and the front still doesn't mention Classic versions of Rosie or Belle

As long as I'm posting... I've been thinking a little bit about adding pictures to my checklist web page, but I only have about half the engines and I'm not really planning on getting many more so I won't be able to take pictures for all of them myself. Does anyone know if there's a good resource where I can (legally and ethically) get pictures for the rest of the engines (or all of them from one place)? I know the wikis have pictures but wasn't sure what their policies were for reusing pictures (jdogman I'm looking in your direction...).

i normally would say i could send you copies of my photos from the site, but the renders and pics the wiki has are a lot clearer and easier to see. plus the lighting on mine is always different, so some have been taken with the flash, some without, and they tend to face different directions too. im consistently inconsistent!

thanks for the links to the PDFs. have been the spongebob one before, but not in that size. only a thumbnail basically.

Just started my "Minis" collection last week.

Acquired as singles:
complete 2016/1 and 2016/2 from Dollarama stores;
complete 2015/4 from Real Canadian Superstore (grocery store);
complete 2015/1 and 2015/3 from various Walmart locations on a road trip to Minnesota USA.

All sets had matching "batch" numbers.

Also picked up 3 blister cards of DC sets and approx. 12 other blister cards from the above Walmart stores.

Seeking: complete 2016/2 with matching batch numbers, preferably from USA source so as to have ENGLISH packaging for my files.

Using 4x3 (12 slots) tool boxes from Dollarama to store the trains from the opened blind bags.

Traders Available: SEALED blind bags --> 2015/4 #80,81,82,83 (Batman,Flash,Robin,Riddler) and 2016/2 #38,39,40 (Dots,Junior,Sugar);
can source blind bags for 2015/4, 2016/1 and 2016/2 from my local stores.

They're not my pictures and I see them used everywhere else so, you're good. Although I can't understand why Fisher-Price doesn't just have 100+ identically shot photos of the produced versions readily available instead of this strange hoop jumping through Japanese websites and catalogue scans. I was actually expecting an official devoted MINIS website last year.

I'm aware that Australia, and presumably New Zealand, are getting the Pop-Up playsets and the Glow in the Dark pack as well. Don't know about the Batcave, DC 9 packs, the SpongeBob packs, and the 30 pack, but I reckon all of it will be coming.

There's going to be another San Diego Comic Con exclusive revealed in "a few days", so keep an eye out on Matty Collector.

Welcome! You've found 2016/2 in Dollarama stores, have you? Interesting! I haven't seen anything beyond 2016/1 but I haven't been there in awhile.

us collectors down under are likely to see everything except the 30pack i think. i never saw the 50pk locally, and am not aware of if being seen in the wild either here or in australia. [happy to be corrected though!]

we only recently, like in the last month, got the twist and turn stunt set, so it will likely be a wait until we see anything else.

thanks heaps for the heads up on the reveal of something from SDCC again. im expecting something to do with spongebob, but would LOVE a glow set in a box with a black light or something.

I guess it's time for me to visit a Dollarama again. The last time I was in one, they had the 2016/1's, but not the 2016/2's.

The RCSS near me (Grimsby, Ontario) didn't have Minis the last time I was in there.

The Walmart closest to me (Stoney Creek, ON) recently restocked their Minis section. I have to take a closer look, but it looks like 2015 blind bags. The Toys R Us in the same plaza has a handful of 2015 blind bags but newer multi-packs and launchers.

I don't have anything to trade at the moment, but I'm on the hunt for only 4 more from the 2015 waves.
