Paint Remover? and Wobbly Wheels

The bottom line here is don't try anything until you talk with your parents first. I would think the best way (and safest) would be to keep an eye out on Ebay for cheap, used ones or perhaps non-working trains that you can swap parts with. Or perhaps visiting any local Thrift stores or Yard Sales in your area may bag you something cheap and save on shipping.

The former method may work better but when I told Mom about how I don't think there's an easy fix to the paint issues, she snapped and said that she wouldn't buy me anything I already had.

So, these Finecast models are already painted but were painted over by a consumer? Because, like turpentine, I'm worried about removing the original paint and the stickers. Speaking of the stickers, is there any recommended techniques for peeling them off and reapplying? I've never removed one of those clear ones from a Plarail engine, and they seem like they're really stuck on there.

Mother knows best!
honestly, given what your mum has said, it may pay to leave mods until you are older and can fund your own trains and tools and can replace them if something goes wrong.
