Trackmaster activation tab help!!!

i shaved these guys down the gear has not been messed up but they still struggle on points and turns its frustrating if i shave them anymore i might as well take it off lol. I dont know what to do anymore i need help am i doing something wrong?

yea if you click on the links to the pictures i did that i shaved them down more then ucwepen did and it still has a hard time sadly and these are brand new trains

Maybe Ucwepn can come along and advise you on this as he is the expert.

My 2 cents would be that just by looking at your pictures its looks like Ucwepn has removed more of the tab.
Because of the Trackmaster 2's big knobby tires they have less traction on the Tomy blue and original Trackmaster tracks.
Trackmaster 2 doesn't have adequate weights in them to give them more traction.
Could there be shavings and plastic dust now gummed up in the gears? If the gears are greased I would imagine some would stick.

Hi Thanos205 yes allot of the tab needs to go and it needs to be smoothed as it will beach them on points & stop n go tracks if it's not, adding weight also helps because these new jiggers are way too light
