Here is pictures of my collection of Take And Plays and Take Alongs! My mom is rather annoyed with me collecting so many, but my collection is probably modest compared to some of you guys!

You'll notice I used the ERTL track, as the curves are not as tight. That also makes 'em good for these:

Sorry about the size, though!Blush

Very nice collection Jaytrain1. Collecting things keeps us all out of trouble unless of course you end up on an Episode of Hoarders. [Image: freaking-out-smiley-emoticon.png]

What is that train in the last picture?

It's a Western engine produced by Midgetoy in the 1950's. They produced four different train sets. Cool
I had not heard of those, nice vintage toy.

nice collection. love that western in the last pic. gorgeous.

nothing wrong with having a hobby or collection. means most spare cash is spent on something worthwhile [to us] instead of something thats gone in 5min
my website address has changed: https://sunscollections.weebly.com/
Here is a set of the Midgetoy trains:

I had some before, but I bought this set in 2001. Actually, the set shown here is one from ebay, but my set came nearly identical to it, with the same packaging for the trains. The founder didn't autograph mine, but he did throw in a few cars and a playmat. I'll see about getting pics of mine, but for now, here's what the train sets look like:

Wow..all on their original cards...very nice. Especially the Amtrak F Unit train even though they don't call it that it looks exactly like one.

It's actually modeled after the Super Chief, but there were later versions which branded it as an Amtrak train. Here's one:

Oddly, that one doesn't have the Amtrak red-white-blue stripe decal on it. Mine does, although it came in the other style packaging.

Sweet, Jaytrain1
The one not labeled Amtrak looks more authentic because of the red, white & blue stripe. Strange how the Amtrak card shows a stripe but it doesn't look like it on the train and the set that has the stripe doesn't show it on its card??? Love the trailing rear car with the rounded point with light just like the real one...now if only Tomy had made a car like that for its Amtrak set. Thanks for sharing
